We have SO much to be thankful for as we officially enter into the holiday season! The air in our lungs, the sun rising every morning, the stars filling the sky every night, our friends, our family members, our homes, our jobs, even our oils - that's just the start of some things we can be thankful for!
I’ve got something fun for you to try this month. I want to challenge you to take a few minutes and think about 3 things you're grateful for each morning. Write them down and even take a moment to thank God for those things. You could even play a favorite worship song as part of this time. (If you need suggestions, please let me know. Cinnamon Bark is one of the growing number of oils from YL that has both a regular and a Vitality version (remember both are the same oil). It helps support our circulatory, cardiovascular, and digestive systems, as well as helps our bodies maintain healthy blood sugar levels. Not only that, the sweet, spicy aroma is like a fall treat in the air, and when you add the Vitality oil to some of your fall baking!! This is a fan favorite for many reasons!
• Unwind and relax. Mix 3 drops of Cinnamon Bark oil with some V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex and use it for a warming foot massage. Then put on a pair of warm socks to keep your feet cozy and moisturized!
• Spice it up. Make a room spray by filling a spray bottle with 3 ounces of water and 4 drops each of Cinnamon & Orange essential oils.
When you think of Clove, I bet antioxidants aren't the first thing that comes to mind, but as I mentioned earlier this week, it's the most concentrated antioxidant for oils! Antioxidants help our immune system and help our bodies stay well. It comes in a Vitality oil, too, so we know the internal benefits are amazing! Did you see in my Happy Monday Mail that it's been used for a very long time in dentistry as a numbing agent, plus lots of mommas have diluted it and used it over the years for teething babies (1 tsp of olive oil + 1 drop of Clove, and you can add in a couple of drops of Copaiba)? It's fascinating seeing how these oils have been used for centuries! On top of that, it's wonderful to diffuse or it can be used as part of a chest and neck rub (dilute it if using it topically - Clove is a "hot" oil). Clove also helps encourage sleep and stimulates dreams while adding feelings of comfort and protection. Perfect for a good night's sleep in the fall!
• Spice up a soak. After a day of outdoor adventure, draw up a warm bath, dilute drops of Clove oil in the tub, and allow yourself to sit back and soak up all the Clove essential oil benefits.
• Feel forest fresh. Add 3–4 drops of Clove to a glass spray bottle to bring in a warm, woodsy scent that simply sings of the outdoors.
Nutmeg, as a vitality oil, is an adrenal support powerhouse! (Look in the September 20th email for a great adrenal roller recipe.) Around the holidays our adrenals can get taxed with later evenings, more sugar in the diet, and added stress. If you place a drop under your tongue or swab a drop in the inside of your cheek, you will definitely appreciate the effects. It helps give you added energy during the day and it supports the production of melatonin - the sleep hormone! Good sleep = a well-supported immune system! On top of that, just a drop or two of Nutmeg in your fall diffuser blends will make them even cozier and more relaxing.
• Freshen up fall. Make a homey linen spray by combining a few drops of Nutmeg, Clove, and Bergamot in a spray bottle filled with 2 cups of water. This cozy scent will make guests feel right at home!
• Work in bliss. Refresh your home office with a diffuser blend of Nutmeg and Eucalyptus Radiata for a spicy-fresh scent that will help your upcoming meeting be a little brighter.

Chase after His heart with us!
Halloween was never a favorite holiday of mine, BUT . . . years ago, I was complaining to the Lord about it and clearly heard Him ask me, "What are you going to do about it?" I humbly asked in return, "What would you like me to do, Lord?"
In the days that followed, He downloaded a plan for loving our neighbors on Halloween. It's since become one of my favorite days of the year and this year, we're making it even bigger and want YOU to join us!!!
We're hosting a chili cook-off beginning at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st. We'll have our firepit going and s'mores fixings available. Bring a pot of your favorite chili recipe and you may just win our first annual chili cook-off bragging rights!!! (There will be some other fun prizes, too!)
When trick-or-treating starts, we'll have cocoa, marshmallows, and candy to hand out, along with an offer to pray over anyone who stops by. We'd love for you to help us pour love out on everyone!

Feeling Lost
Have you ever felt lost? I’m not talking about an “out in the woods” kind of lost feeling. It’s the internal kind, the one when heart and mind make you feel adrift in the middle of the sea with no land or humanity in sight.
It’s how I’ve been feeling. Yet, at the same time, my spirit has known how “found” I am and have always been. When I’m able to quiet the voices that would tell me otherwise, I can hear His truth speaking to my soul and find His peace, even in the unfamiliar.
Over the last several weeks, Brian and I have said yes to allowing God to shift some things in our lives. It’s been painful as we’ve let go of some really good things we’ve held dear. God never said there wasn’t a cost to following Him. He actually said the opposite. (Luke 14:27-33) Shifts have become adjustments as God has made additional tweaks to what He’s doing. We don’t have the full picture or total understanding, but we’ve had peace as we’ve followed His leading.
I don’t know about you, but for me, change can feel uncomfortable and can leave me with a sense of feeling a bit disoriented. That’s especially true when God hasn’t revealed the fullness of His plan following any changes He’s invited me to walk through with Him.
I was reading in Hebrews yesterday and this verse stood out to me in The Passion Translation.
“For you have placed everything under His authority. This means that God has left nothing outside of the control of His Son, even if presently we have yet to see this accomplished.” (Hebrews 2:8)
If I’ve offered my surrendered life to God and given Him my blanket yes, that means I’ve given up control and trusted Jesus to guide and direct me. When I can’t see the next steps and am blindly trusting His leading, leaning into the knowledge that nothing is outside of Jesus’ control – even the unseen, then I can find my anchor in the midst of the sea I feel as if I’ve been bobbing about in. Suddenly, it’s not as important to see the land and people in the distance. All that matters is knowing He sees it ahead and He’s directing the tides and currents that are drawing me in the right direction.
Feeling lost can then become a holy invitation. It’s a drawing of my heart to connect more deeply with His, to lean in and listen for His whispers of leading. It’s an offer to trust Him more fully as I fall back into His loving arms, knowing He’s there and will catch me. It’s a call to quietness, peace, rest, and waiting. In that place, He becomes the compass that guides on paths unknown to me.
Since the beginning of the year, I’ve said I’m simply following His breadcrumbs as I take each step forward. I’ve kept my eyes to the ground, looking for the next tidbit that would reveal the direction I was to take and that’s been enough for me. However, I believe God is now inviting me to look up to see the trail before me lined with those crumbs. Even though the destination isn’t yet visible, I have an assurance it’s ahead. As I lift my eyes, I’m allowing God to expand my vision.
In the last weeks and even months, I’ve been asking God to reveal His new alignments and to connect us with those He’s planned for us to walk with in this season of our calling. Sometimes, I can get so focused on what’s directly in front of me that my vision becomes limited. Not only do I miss seeing what’s ahead, I miss seeing those around me. The thing is, they’re the very people God has planned for me to walk with in this season. I don’t want to miss those connections.
Why am I sharing my story with you? Because I want to encourage you if, like me, you’ve felt lost in any area of your life. Reading God’s Word, spending time worshipping Him, and standing on the truths He’s spoken to my heart and affirmed countless times have all helped me to recognize how I feel isn’t gospel truth. It’s confirmed over and over again I have heard Him and I’m in the center of His will - even if it feels uncomfortable.
Even in feeling uncertain, we can know He’s our Rock and firm foundation. What lies before us is an opportunity to grow in our faith and trust in the One who always knows His way. Not knowing all the answers to what’s ahead becomes a conversation starter to ask Him what His plans and solutions are for us. The nice thing is . . . He’s an awesome conversationalist and is always speaking!

Brian and I felt the Lord nudging our hearts to create an intentional space where a small group of us could learn and grow together in developing a more intimate relationship with God.
We want to personally invite you to our upcoming, 6-week course we're offering online beginning Thursday, September 23rd, at 8:00 p.m.

Each week will have a new focus and will include teaching and discussion. You'll also be given activations you can use throughout the coming week during your times with God and you'll get a set of notes for each week's teaching. The teaching portion will be recorded and shared with the group in case anyone misses a week or would like to listen again.
If you'd like, you'll also have an opportunity to schedule a one-on-one session with Brian and me (or just one of us if you'd prefer) for a private call that's your time to use for questions, prayer, or further conversation on a topic important to you.
The course is limited to 20 people and the cost for the 6 weeks and private session is $100 / person; $150 / couple.
